Baird Country Girl Kabocha Ale

Brewed by Baird Brewing Co.
Numazu, Shizuoka, Japan
Style: Fruit Beer/Radler | Ratings: 11 | Autumn Seasonal | Alcohol: 5.8%
Country Girl is brewed with one major kabocha addition during mashing -when it is added to the malt porridge and liquefied by the heat and the enzymatic activity of the mash, and one smaller priming addition added directly to the keg during packaging in order to augment the secondary fermentation. In the pint glass, Country Girl Kabocha Ale will present itself with a dense creamy-white head and a slightly hazy orange-amber color. In the nose, you will detect a hint of kabocha sweetness that will give way in the mouth to the subtly sweet flavor of kabocha and honeyed fruit. The finish will be dry and fleeting with a residue of alcoholic warmth.
