Cask Stillage at the GBBF, Earl’s Court 05/08/2009 Fruity and slightly spicy aroma. Golden coloured and a little hazy in appearance. Fruity with a very dry finish.

GBBF2009. Slightly hazy golden colour with no head. Aroma is mild apples along with some mild wooden notes as well as some slight cheesyness. Flavour is mild apples, some wood and mild yeastyness. Feels quite bland.

A Mes rate: Barrel at Fin’s excellent Merton Beer Festival.
Cloudy yellow brown. Big sweet apples and wood in the very dry aroma. Slightly astringent flavour but the dry apple finish sorts it out. Not bad.

Polycask at Merton Summer Beer Festival July 18th There is a definate farmyard funkiness about this cider (its a great aroma!) I agree with Duff there is more than a nod to cheesiness. Somewhere between warm golden and orange in colour. Taste is quite sharp, really quite dry with little in the way of sweetness detected, really fruity, I like this but maybe a bit too sharp and dry at times.

GBBF 2005: Fruity aroma. Quite dry and sour. Some raisins are noticable. A good cider.

From the barrel at GBBF, August 2005. Hazy orange colour. Quite aromatic for a farmhouse cider, but there’s plenty of barnyard too. Reasonable amount of body. Good balance of fruit and tannin, but its a touch sharp.

Funky, cheesy, thick appley, barnyard aroma is pleasant, smoky and appealing. Translucent copper-tan with low white diminishing head. Sharp, tart, acidic, bruised apple flavour with a cedar note in the finish and plenty of barnyard funkiness. Medium body coats the teeth. Sampled at GBBF 2005.

GBBF: Funky acidic apple aroma. Sweetish apple start with a long acidic finish. Gold in colour. Medium bodied, funky cider.
