Draught @ Altes Madchen, Hamburg. Pours golden with a creamy offwhite head. Aroma of malt, caramel, wood, spice. Flavor is sweet, malty, yeast, caramel, light fruity, brown sugar. Medium body, soft carbonation, sweet finish. To sweet for me. 311014

Nice brownish red that matches the label colour. Malty in aroma and taste but not overly dry. Very nice.

Bottle from a small shop in Frankfurt. Cap proclaims "Just real craft taste" aus Englich. Pours almost dark ruby with a slight, transient head. Aroma is roasty malt. Sweet. Med body or better. It’s malty, and far from dry. Drinks pretty well with pepper jack cheese.

01.08.2014, tap sample @ Altes Mädchen Braugasthaus, Hamburg:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, caramel malts, nuts, "knekk", raisins, grass, chocolate, licorice, butterscotch, hints of coffee. Taste is slightly sweet, caramel malts, grass, butterscotch, raisins, nuts, hay, butterscotch, coffee, licorice. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and watery mouthfeel. Nice and very easy drinking. Feels like a very mild bock...

0.33 bottle. Clear, red color and a small, off-white head. Sweet, malty aroma - heavy on caramel with fruity hints. Taste is a bit more complex with bready, nutty, and buttery notes although caramel still predominates. Light to medium body, slick texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is also very malty yet it presents a more nuanced form of caramel couple with perfume, nuts, and some bitter tones. Overall the beer is alright, just barely above mediocre but then again one cannot expect miracles from a simple style of this sort.

33cl bottle, thanks Beerhunter111. Dark amber, thin white head. Bready aroma, some caramel and hint of chocolate. Flavor has bread, buttery notes, chocolate and grassy notes. Not a fan of this style, but goes down quite nicely.

0,3l Flasche. Rötlich-Bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit heftiger Schaumkrone. Angenehmer Geruch nach Malz. Geschmack nach Röstmalzen, leicht süßlich und im Abgang Hopfenbitter. Mir schmecht es!

Cooles Bier in ziemlich roter Färbung. Mit 5,2 etwas mehr Alkohol als üblich. Sehr würzig, mit (leider) teilweise süßlichen Noten. Optik perfekt mit pur weissem Schaum.

0,33 l bottle. Typical simple good looking red brown label art design. Pours evenso light redbrown in the glass, nice CO2 pearls, light tanned short living head. The nose gets malty and low fruity nuances. Roasted malty in the beginning, later more a light herb with fruity sourness and caramell. (7. Sept.2012)
