Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a clear, deep amber. Spicy, vanillaish apple aroma. Rich body, sweet candied apple flavor yet with quite a high acidity. Warming alcohol. 230213

Bottle at Alex. Hazy red-brown coloured with no head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel, dried fruits, apples and dried apples. Sweet and fruity flavour of apples and dried apples with acidic notes. Tart finish of apples.

37.5 cL bottle. Pours dark amber with no head. Aroma overripe fruity apples with no head. Aroma is smooth fruity, red apple and dense fruity. Smooth fruity and citric. Lingering fruity, full apples and red. Smooth citric and sweet finish.

Wonderful amber color with beautiful legs. Mild aroma of apple syrup, some apple stew, and alcohol. Very thick mouthfeel, syrupy; evident fruit acidity; it has the usual good flavor of apple syrup and stewed apples; also brown sugar, berry syrup, and a touch of glue. This one has a very light astringency, on the gums.
Tasted side to side with the Fuji Iced Cider, it’s also very good but less elegant.

Pours mahogany with a nice neck on the glass. Smells tarte with some underlying velvety sweetness. Tastes of baking apples, some warming alcohol presence, some molasses on the finish.

375 ml bottle courtesy Capflu. Still, brilliant golden, amber, and brown blend of colours. Sweet caramelized apples, light sherry, brown sugar, and mor rich caramel aroma with ligth alcohol notes. Balance of sweet and sour flavours - apple, maple, caramel, brown sugar, and even strawberry meets cider vinegar, some balsamic, sherry, and sour cherries. Maybe even some soft cheese and leathery touches undermeath the sweet and sour. Full bodied, rich, velvety, but syrupy mouthfeel. Rich, inviting, complex, but bordering on overpowering.

[1066-20080127] 200mL (w/ jerc; Vintage 2005). Alcoholic syrupy wafts of sweet apple. Clear, dark amber body with no head. Flavour holds subtly unique sweet apples and finishes tart and kicking. Thick medium body. Quite nice, interesting tart and sweet texture battling each other.

2008-01-27. Bottle from the cidery, 2005 Vintage, 200ml. Thick caramel amber coloured body. (3+) Sweet syrupy sugar in the aroma, moderate alcohol presence at first that blows off eventually. Tart apples at the end. Very sweet flavour, light sugary notes, sweet apples throughout turns to a tart very lightly acidic apple finish that lingers in the aftertaste. Smooth syrupy medium bodied palate that coats the tongue. Quite nice.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2007 Rich dark amber colour with some legs. Wow - smells like sour brown sugar with cherry juice. That’s nuts. Lots of spice and burnt fruit. Similar on the palate - crazy complex plum, cherry, strawberry tartness and rich demerara sugar. I can’t believe how different each of these Raven Ridge varietal ice ciders are.

(375ml bottle) Sampled at the CW3 gathering in Victoria. Pours a deep blood coloured. Nose of jam, strawberries. Flavour is shockingly raspberry with sour cherries. Tart and jammy with undertones of port wine and high ABV apple finish. Too sweet and jammy for me.
