3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A decent ale. Pours a very nice dark Amber with a tan head. Smells like beautiful vanilla bean. Taste however is not very complex. Smooth and malty but not the most interesting. Tasted at the BevMo Holiday Beer Fest.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to Nolen! Pours clear reddish black with a small creamy tan head that slowly dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is dark sugars, biscuit, molasses. Flavor follows, bread with lots of dark sugars and a bit of a hoppy bite. Medium sweet and fairly bitter, with a lingering bittersweet finish. Pumpernickel breads, burned caramel. Medium body, creamy, perhaps a bit acidic. Medium carbonation. Some heat from the ABV. Pretty decent.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle. Served chilled in a tulip glass and let come up in temperature. Aromas and flavors of maple syrup, dark honey, brown sugar, caramel, dark bread and molasses. Smooth, sweet and rich palate, with creamy carbonation and medium finish. Enjoyable. Good example of a domestic Dobbelbock. I want more!

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from bottle. I smell vanilla and pancake syrup. Mahogany with thin tan head. I taste vanilla, brown sugar, caramel, alcohol and prunes. Quite sweet but highly drinkable. Creamy feel. Well done. Hope the rest of the sample pack is as impressive.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle; poured a really dark caramel color with a khaki colored head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruit, bread, and some earth. A nice sweet component. Really smooth and good flavor. A good dose of dark fruit and breadiness, balanced by some caramel and sweetness. Quite good
