12oz bottle poured. Appearance is nice copper with off white head. Nose is fairly weak with some sweet malt and citrus. Taste is hoppy fruity, sweet, and some grainy flavor as well. Finish is lightly bitter. Overall, an average ipa. Not something I would seek out in the future.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the 2014 Maryland Microbrewery Festival. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma consists of grapefruit, peach, and lemon. Taste is much the same. Thin bodied beer with moderate carbonation average bitterness and a sticky mouth feel. Its okay just nothing to differentiate it from others.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled as "Tell Tale Heart IPA." Nose is rich in PNW hops citrus and superheavy dark caramel, light earthy and toffee, sticky malt. Lightly doughy. Pours golden but a bit more amber toward the top, deep with slow carbonation and a rocky, lacing beige head. Taste medium bitter with a little too much alcohol showing, richly malty with a little crystal and roast, strong dough and stronger caramel, citrus on the periphery until the finish and the first burp! Full body is smooth and malty, clean, somewhat moreish despite the weight. Light pine [and, as some have noted below, some mild onion in the finish]. Pleasantly surprised, this is a very good and balanced East Coast take!
