Cask at the White Swan, Spireville, 20/05/16. Golden blonde with a decent off white head. Nose is lemon rind, straw, pale malts, grain. Taste comprises grass, lemon peel, light orange tingle, bread. Medium bodied, soft massaging carbonation, faint citric bitterness in the close. So so golde ... looks and feels good but lacks at the business end.

Cask@The Criterion, Leicester. Golden beer with a strong head. The aroma is lightly hopped, and the flavour is bitter and roasted with plenty of hops. Overall a nice very bitter English pale ale type beer.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 29/02/2012. Golden coloured with a slight white head. Sweet aroma of caramel, peaches and pine. Flavour was also sweet, with a buttery edge, some orange fruit and a lengthy bitter finish. Didnít work for me.

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Gold with white head. Sharp, light beer with an acidic, spruce like flavour, quite perfumed and a little odd. The astringency from the hop tends to dominate.
