Cask (gravity dispense) at Reading Beer festival, day 2 on 3 May 2012. A solid, nicely hoppy and firm blonde. Excellent drinkability. Good. Unfortunately my notes at the end of the evening didn’t amount to more than that but it was certainly enjoyable. Flagged for (more detailed) re-rate.

Cask hand-pull, The Crafty Crow, Nottingham, 04/10/14. Immaculate thick conditioned lager gold. Slightly mineral sappy base with licks of earth building to floral chewy mango goodness. God bless Raw they’ve rescued me tonight from an encroaching sea of buttery mediocrity. Wine gum lemon and lime pastille, Turkish Delight dusted icing sugar aroma. Much more like it.

Old Fountain, Old Street 5 Nov 12. Gyldenbrun. Lavt skum - men mye på glasset. Grei fruktig aroma. Smaken litt syrlig frukt. Innholdsrik. Tørr fruktig ettersmak.

Cask shared with Finn at The Old Fountain. Spotty lacing from a very thin layer at the top of a clear, amber coloured body. Malt-fruity aroma. Taste of caramel malts together with spiced fruits. Nice, long-lived, plain bitter ending (London, 05.11.2012).

Cask, handpump, FFTMC, Oxford, Friday 14th September 2012 Dark gold with a very slim white head, good clarity. Lovely hoppy golden ale, really flavoursome with pithy grapefruit and a nice dry finish, really good. A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.7

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford, recommended by Fin & Loz. Orange gold with white head. Clean hoppy bitter, fresh and cleanly crisp beer, plenty of hop character but just hiding a slightly soapy note. Grapefruity hops, bitter finish. Very decent.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 25/08/2012. Amber, with a slight, off-white head. Sweet, caramel and orange aroma. Flavour was more of the same, with a decent, bitter finish. Fine.

Cask at the Harp. Half-finger of creamy white head on a slightly hazy burnt orange color. Musty hops, some earth and cheesiness. Soapier bitterness and a very doughy-bready finish. Almost medium body with fairly bright carbonation for cask.
