2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Maria (7805) - Thisted, DENMARK - SEP 3, 2007
Københavnske Øldage 07. Bottle. Warm amber with a malty, sweetish and fruity aroma, where I find raisins and spice. The flavour is slightly sour and tart, fruity (apple) and spicy - but the ginger is not a favourite of mine, not in beer, at least. The finish is dry and slightly bitter. 2145

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 yngwie (8718) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 26, 2007
Bottle, at Cardinal. Hazy, golden body, topped by a minimalt off-white head. The aroma and flavor surprised me a bit, I was expecting more of a pale ale or something like that. It is quite sweet, with ginger, malt and hops, and the flavor has some dried fruits as well. The ginger comes through in the finish as well, and is followed by a pleasant hoppiness. Medium body. I find it a bit heavy on the ginger, but else it is quite nice. (070623)

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2007 bottle at home ... copper colour ... quite a bit of fizzz ... nice fruity hop with touch of lime ... Sweet caramel malt front with a little sourness ... grapefuit showing through ... some sweet hop resins ... finishing with dry linger.

Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet with caramel, citrus hops, cloves, coriander, and other spices. Flavor is citrus hops right away with lots of spices underneath and caramel malts. Doesn’t have that much of a lingering flavor at all. Good but nothing outstanding.

Purchased at Gomer’s of Kansas. Pours a hazy golden/brown with a nice frothy head. The aroma is nice with a little hop, some maltiness, and spices. The palate is cloves, other spices, some bitterness, and the finish is dry. I think that this beer is pretty good all year round.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Gethinbeer (1524) - Musky, Nova Scotia, CANADA - JUL 15, 2007
From bottle. Now this was a surpriseI. Iwasn’t expecting anything from this beer but what a lovely treat. Completely different to all the previous beers sampled today. Aroma of apples. grapes, summer fruits. Rich summer feel. Slighlty cloudy ale with a thin head. Rich in flavour, getting the grapes and spices coming through. Tangy spicy finish, ginger perhaps. Very nice beer and refreshing in the sun.
