Jun 28, 2009 Bottle. Very little head, dark pour. Chocolate aroma but not much else. Medium-thin mouth feel with average carbonation. Coffee flavor with a touch of chocolate. Not super flavorful, but pleasant. Over, a nice, though not inspiring beer. Good session porter.

May 17, 2009 Dark brown pour, small head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. Flavor is watery, with chocolate, cold coffee, and some vegetable notes. Thin mouthfeel.

May 4, 2009 Murky dark brown, almost black with almost no head, just some bubble around the rim of the glass. Aroma of chocolate, molasses and roasted malt. Flavor is some chocolate, sweet roasted malt, and a little dark fruit but kind of weak overall. Mouth feel is pretty thin and watery with no carbonation to speak of.

Feb 28, 2009 Cask at Birreria Paradiso in DC. Opaque choco black-brown color with a soapy non-head. Lacks any carbonation in the mouthfeel. Big, chocolate flavor. Thick, rich, and creamy. Very gentle on the palate. Excellent.
