jerohen (1602), Bussum, Netherlands Mar 30, 2005 Dark brown coloured, small brown head. Aoma and flavour of roasted malts, not very complex. Very bitter finish. Could use some more body. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Mar 28, 2005 Weird commercial description: "As the beer leaves a trail down the glass as you drink it like a slug, that’s how the beer was named." I assumed it was named after a regular at the pub. Bottle conditioned - It pours a deep mahogany color with a tall, creamy tan head that leaves slug slime on the side of your glass as you imbibe. The aroma is rich, nutty malts and chocolate with hints of dark, juicy fruit. It a bit on the light-bodied side, but delivers a rich taste of toffee and nuts and fruits. The chocolate returns for the creamy finish. Nice drink, except for the slimy trail... mkobes (2103), paramus, New Jersey, USA Mar 11, 2005 Bottle. Dark brown in color with a nice tan head.
