Bottle. Nearly black with a ruby tint. Aroma of light hops, some coffee and chocolate. Creamy body with soft carbonation. Rich flavor, chewy toffee. Finishes a little fruity and sweet, but not sticky. This is a tasty porter.

Aug 25, 2008 Near black pour, small cream colored head. Roasty aroma, malt, coffee, dusty. Taste has nice roast malts, slight coffee and dark chocolate. Pretty medium bodied, finish with a little coffee bitter, clean, drinkable. Good version of the standard Engligh porter.

Aug 21, 2008 pours a black with a red tint when held up to the light, small foamy tan head, very good lacing.
smell is of bakers chocolate, coffee grounds, touch of vanilla, some roasted malts in the back.
taste is bakers chocolate, old coffee, malt in the back, slightly bitter in the end.

Aug 20, 2008 Dark brown, red-tinted, fizzy beige head. Light coffee and cocoa powder nose. Light, quaff-friendly mouthfeel. Tastes better than it smells like an enhanced version of the aromas including coffee and chocolate. Refreshing and robust.

Aug 14, 2008 Bottle from Beer Geek. Pours very dark brown with a multifinger beige head. Aroma is rather cola, with chocolate and coffee. Medium plus body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is primarily chocolate, backed by toasted malt and coffee. Suggestions of darker fruits. Finish is fairly dry, and there is a dried dark fruit aspect - but not sweet - just fruit. Mouthsmackingly tasty. Bitter in the finish, but from hop or toast?

Aug 9, 2008 Bottle. Bitter, malt and liquor aroma. Black in colour, Decent frothy, crispy off white head. Smoked flavour with a little bit of coffee. Little thin than I would have preferred.
