UPDATED: AUG 9, 2008 The Old Fourpenny Shop, Warwick. Straw pint with a slight haze. Pine and citrussy hop aroma. Pale malt background giving way to juicy tangerine hop goodness. A trace of biscuit. Stillish, citrussy and solid. The Griffin Inn, Shustoke. Ripe peardroppy aroma with good leafy hops. TT? Great-smelling beer. Lingering oaty biscuit, Hobnob, nip of sherbety yeast? Marzipan hint again. Very CE-like soft maltiness and clinging lace. Doesn’t quite follow through, but solid. 14 again.

on cask @ The Old Green Tree, Bath. Light gold in colour with strong grassy/earthy hop aromatics. Flavors of somewhat grainy pale malts, colorphyll, and more grassy hops. Moderate bitterness, and a very nice mouthfeel. Good stuff.

500ml bottle from Centra, Oslo. Pours a creamy, dense foam with moderate duration and great lacing. The body is getting cloudy with the last pour, otherwise clear, amber in colour. Very nice appearance, indeed. Light malty sweetness lies at the heart of the aroma. The flavour brings more soft malts, some yeast and hops with smooth bitterness on the swallow. Quite refreshing, classic English bitter (Oslo, 20.08.2007).

500 ml bottle. Dark golden body with a big off-white head. Gentle malt and hop aroma. Flavor is a very pleasant malt and hop mix. Quite straight forward and nice bitter. Impressive balanced at low alcohol.

0,5 l bottle. Lots of lovely malt flavour married with flowery hoppiness. Very well balanced, a fine English bitter.

Københavnske Øldage 07. Bottle. Warm amber and the aroma has notes of apple and malt. The flavour is rather thin and dry, I find notes of sweetish malt, apple (as I have found in many RCH’s today), a hint of citrus (grapefruit), and the bitterness is a bit stale, dusty and limited. 2147
