The name comes from the Pitchfork rebellion of 1685 the last battle to be fought on English soil of the Civil War. A golden bitter with floral citric hop aroma. It has a hoppy predominate taste which is slightly sweet and fruity and leaves you wanting more.
Pitchfork was judged to be the Best Bitter of the Year in 1998 at the Great British Beer Festival and has been a finalist in the last three years.
Pale malt; Fuggles and Goldings hops.

Nasty sour nose gives way to a wonderful woody mal tflavor. It is really soft with a lot of complexity. A tiny amount of buttery notes, but mainly earthy stuff (and some orchard fruit) that has a certain fresh quality.

Bottle - Very sour aroma, almost like a gueze. Sweet fruit flavors on a nice malt backbone. Very bitter finish. Nice tasting beer...quite complex.

16.9 oz. Yellow pour with immense white head. Very faint aroma of citrus, hops, and malt. Yeast floaters in the beer. Little more harsher finish then some bitters, but quite enjoyable. Real nice lacing. Seemed to have a noticeable woody aftertaste.

Cloudy orange colour with the biggest creamy white head, citrus lemon aroma. Short citrus hop flavours. Dry finish.

Handpulled cask at JDW Hatch End, Harrow. Amber with a foaming unsparkled white head, in superb condition. A fruity bitter with a noticable citrus orange peel dryness and english hops bitterness which develops over a session. Highly quaffable.

Quack-Duck (5601) - Down South, GERMANY - JAN 9, 2009
bottle from Tuckers Maltings. Hazy golden yellow, large and persistent white head. Aroma of flowery hops and citrus fruit. Full-bodied, pleasantly malty with good fruity flavours (lemon, bitter orange). Good balance between the bitterness and aroma of the hops. A delicious brew.

beastiefan2k (1894) - Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA - JAN 6, 2009
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2009 Cask at the Diamond poured into a British pint. It pours with a completely clear orange/amber color and a fake bubbly head created because of the cask (it of course fades quickly). Aroma is musky British malts with a cheap, watered down tea aroma. Taste is empty, plain dry cracker biscuit malts. Its ok but completely boring and useless.

Unclear golden of color with a white head. an aroma of bisquit and hops. A flavor of bisquit and hops.
