COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottle conditioned.
The name comes from the Pitchfork rebellion of 1685 the last battle to be fought on English soil of the Civil War. A golden bitter with floral citric hop aroma. It has a hoppy predominate taste which is slightly sweet and fruity and leaves you wanting more.
Pitchfork was judged to be the Best Bitter of the Year in 1998 at the Great British Beer Festival and has been a finalist in the last three years.
Pale malt; Fuggles and Goldings hops.

Bottle (in NZ), pours a cloudy gold with a pure white foamy head. A floral aroma, but slightly skunkish. I’m not sure if this has travelled well. An earthy malt palate, but there is an unusual spicyness, along with citrus hop flavour. A decent level of bitterness.

Taste 8/8/08 Bottle(date?) Looks: Sediment heavy, cloudy gold. Very thick lacing head, that made some unusual adjustments over time. Aroma: Sour yeast, malty sweet and some floral. Taste: Even bitter. Some lemon iced tea. A decent beer.

Bottle. Poured a cloudy brown body with nice head. Aroma is pale malt and light citrus hops. Flavor is sweet malt, light hops and bread.

Bottle shared by Death with a K. Thanks Keath. Light amber with a foamy white head. smells very grassy, a touch of cinnamon. Taste is grass, citrus, herbal. Not really a fan.

Bottle from Death with a K- Poured a bit hazy copper with some nice foam head. Floral aroma with hops and citrus under tones. Malty herb and citrus spice feel with a slight sweet bitterness that pops up in the back end. Put together well.

Bottle at Århus Ølfestival 2008. Pours muddy orange with a white head. Aroma of malt, fruits especially oranges some tart. Flavour is soft with malt, fruits - again mainly oranges and tartness.

Clear medium yellow color with a average to large, frothy, good lancing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, toffee and pepper notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (170508)
