obxdude10 (1390), Reading, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 3, 2008 On draft at several different locations in the Reading area, they probably should have just left well-enough alone and not brought this beer back into production, light golden color, only a small sliver of head when the beer is first poured, after one sip it’s gone and leaves no further lacing, nose full of corn and spent grain, very light body, skunky flavor, not an enjoyable experience at all
smjohnst (160), , Pennsylvania, USA Sep 6, 2008 Very average beer. I think I’d rather have lionshead if I’m going to buy something at that price with that type of flavor to it. doogie (24), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 17, 2008 On draft at The Ugly Oyster in Reading: Pours a light amber color with not much head. Aroma of light hops and a balance, faintly sweet flavor. A nice beer but nothing special. brewhoo (5), USA does not count Jun 29, 2008 Very light..had on tap in Reading..a little skunky. No discernable hop taste. Disappointed over all. The lion usually does better. The_Captain (317), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 9, 2008 This was a modest beer and actually pretty drinkable. Malts and grain with a little hop flavor but really on the low down. Just a simple beer that you could put down on a really hot day. The Lion Brewery does a good job brewing these old recipes. Jayb0 (690), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA Mar 17, 2008 It is what it is, beer, basically an american lager with the same sort of mealy sweetness as BMC but with just a bit more going on. Looks to me like its just trying to be a regional BMC. Nothing to seek out.
