A Majestic Ale For A Momentous Occasion. This noble brew evolved from its common cousins, porter and stout, by necessity to endure the long voyage to the Russian royal court. Colossal additions of American hops are used to balance the robust malt character and infuse this ale with their distinctly citrus-like qualities. 15th Anniversary Ale can be consumed now or laid down for further enjoyment. Take some home to share with friends and family at your court.

Dark and malty. Almost like a darker version of their coffee porter. Would drink again.

A 3 year old 12 oz bottle. Dark red-brown: clear. Full body with near perfect carbonation. Rich and fruity aroma, with a similar but stronger flavor. Lingering aftertaste. Very good balance.

Wow. A dark, dark brown pour. Tan head. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla, earthy tones, tasted malts. Taste follows suit. Thick mouthfeel, dry finish. Loved it.

Bottle shared by someone in the group (from notes). Pours a dark brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor had roasted malts, dark chocolate (somewhat powdery on the nose),mild dark fruits, and a splash of citrus. Decent bitterness at the finish. Decent enough under the radar beer.

(Backlog) Bottle. Black in color light tan colored head and dark. The smell is roasty, soy sauce, burnt malts, earthy hops, does not seem to balance jumps around. The taste is really roasty, burnt malts, coffee, and ok. Super roasty.

Bottle from sxsw 2012. Black, low carb white a short tan head. Lots of rich chocolate aroma, dark choc, roast malt. Great chocolate balance of sweet milk and dark bitter. I didn’t try this fresh but this is sipping incredibly right now.

Black body, scarce brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate, unmalted grain, caramel, a bit oxidized Deeply roasted, surprisingly hoppy. Bready. Sweet in the middle, disappears into bittersweet chocolate. Moderate booze character on the back end. Needs more body.

12oz bottle. Pours a very dark brown color with a two finger tan head. The aroma is a mix of roasted malt, chocolate and some pine. The flavor is very hoppy for an imperial stout, with some roasted malt, coffee and chocolate, but what really comes through is a heavy dose of bitter pine. Medium to body and medium carbonation.

Opaque black beer with good pale tan head. Palate is light and a little airy. Medium dark malts, no roast or bitterness. A touch of chocolate. Traces of aniseed and licorice. A little malt cream. Finishes soft and dry with a little licorice bitterness. All right!
