COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Majestic Ale For A Momentous Occasion. This noble brew evolved from its common cousins, porter and stout, by necessity to endure the long voyage to the Russian royal court. Colossal additions of American hops are used to balance the robust malt character and infuse this ale with their distinctly citrus-like qualities. 15th Anniversary Ale can be consumed now or laid down for further enjoyment. Take some home to share with friends and family at your court.

Thanks to ericandersnavy for this one! Pours black with a very slight tan head - very transient head. Rich, roasty, toffee, burnt malt in the aroma. Full bodied. Flavor is rich burnt malt with treacle/toffee. Quite a good sipper. I have no idea how to describe the colossal hop component. But this finishes nicely bitter as well as treacle. Dang good stuff.

A: The beer pours almost black in color with a small khaki colored head. S: Sort of roasty with a bit of prunes and licorice. A little bit of molasses sweetness, coffee, maybe some earthy hop notes. Really kind of bland for an imperial stout. T: Licorice and burnt sugar, some dark fruits (probably raisins), and an overall sweetness. A definite bitterness and roasted malt note, maybe some coffee and molasses. M: Smooth, medium bodied and medium carbonation. O: Sort of disappointing and bland for an imperial stout. Not what I was hoping for.
