The beer is a dark brownish-amber color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lace on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt, hops and fruit. Medium body with a noble hops character and notes of toasted malt, caramel and ripe fruit. The finish is roasty with a malt, fruity aftertaste. Decent beer overall.

Aroma is sweet forward. Pours a clear amber with a rapidly disappearing off-white head. The taste sweet malts with a nice bitter finish. Overall, a very enjoyable. Would drink again.

GABF, 2012, Friday Evening. Listed in the program as "Hexa Decimator." A good palate to this classic doppelbock. Sweet with caramel and malt as well as some tannin quality. Fairly thick. Fully flavored and a sweet finish.

On tap at Realtail 2012. Pours a cloudy copper with a medium creamy off white head that lasts awhile. The aroma is a roasted malt and caramel. Thin mouthfeel with a light vanilla malt and oak with nice smooth finish. Easy to drink, really enjoyed this doppelbock from Real Ale.

The aroma is sweet and boozy. The appearance is dark and murky. The taste is dark but the finish is a little off cause of the high amount of alcohol. This brew finishes sweet. The palate is different than most other beers. Overall, this is an interesting beer, so go ahead and try it.

Ruddy amber brew with some off-white head. Aromas of caramel, dark fruit, and grains. Lots of dark fruit in the flavor and a bit of clove.

Dark, clear, reddish-amber with a decent sized, moderately lacing, beige head. Aroma of caramel, bread, light grass. Rich malty character, sweet but not cloying, slight hint of alcohol in the flavor. Medium-full bodied and really smooth. Very nice doppelbock, not very complex, but very (almost dangerously) easy drinking and very well done.

(Draught) Pours a cloudy amber-brown body with a medium cream head. Aroma of caramel, nougat, and yeast. Flavor of nougat, grain, caramel, raisins, herbs, plastic, and earth with a moderately dry finish.

(draught) cloudy medium amber, creamy white head. Nose of fresh grain, fairly sweet, light brown sugar, very classic and fresh for the style, an excellent doppel bock. Taste of fresh grain, light tartness, raisin and toasty bread. Nice bready sweet palate linger.
