4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nearly black pour with cherry around the edges. Not much of a tan head. Aroma is heavy with Amarillo hops with a nice roasty sweetness in the background. Flavor is very similar with the hops first on the tongue and roastiness coming after. Chocolate, caramel, and coffee are pronounced in the middle and finish of the flavors.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle:   Deep caramel, moderate to large foamy sandy head, spotty lacing.   Not that dark for a Porter.   Roasty nose, a little acrid, slight pixie stix like powdery sugar sweetness.   Moderately roasty on the tongue, powdery sugar sweetness, with a strong airiness on the tongue that makes me think this is on the downslope.   Has a slight hoppy background, a little dry and husky too.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Soft roasty finish.   Seems like a Danish Porter given its airy powdery sugar sweetness.   Tiz okay, but seems a little artificial at times.   Meh...   Thanks Bill!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Initially some smoke and hop aroma. Citrus taste, the hops came through. A nice tasty hopped porter, well integrated with a hoppy finish. A few weeks after best date but it was just fine.
A very nice porter, thanks Beerenberger.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer pours dark reddish brown with a flavor to match. The roasted hops are evident in the aroma and the very drinkable beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Central Market bottle best by 03.17.13. This delivers what it promises: a hoppy porter. I liked how it was well balanced between the piney hops and the dark roast of the porter. Tasty.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark brown with reddish notes and clear, head and lace were pretty good.
Aroma is a little odd, quite hoppy yet still with roasty and toasty notes.
The flavor follows the nose and isn’t too far off from a typical porter, but with more hops character. Bitterness is about spot on tho, it’s not a porter-IPA mix or anything.
Body is medium with medium carbonation and a roasty finish.
It’s pretty enjoyable. Maybe not my favorite porter, but certainly someone put some effort into this beer.
