This delicate, straw colored ale is known for it’s prominent hop character and crisp, dry finish. For this Brewers’ Cut release we’ve chosen the noble Tettnang hop for its distinctive spicy aroma, and premium German Pilsner malt to achieve a smooth, clean finish.

Bottle:   Pale yellow, faint haze, moderate sudsy white head, spotty lacing.   Dried straw/hay on the nose, a touch of pellet feed, but only minor.   Straw and hay on the tongue, a little chewy.   Not as crisp as others, but alright.   Has a dried straw exit.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finish shows a hint of mealiness, but its minor.   Seems middle of the road.   Wished it were crisper, but its still okay.   Thanks Bill!

A bread dough nose with some grain and sulfur notes thrown in for good measure. A slightly hazy pale gold pour with no head or lacing. The taste is bread, Pilsner malt, with a touch of characteristic sulfur. No hop bitterness. Medium-light body and medium carbonation. Soft rounded mouthfeel. Overall, very refreshing, very smooth, and very easy to consume. Would drink again.

Average Kolsches are pretty bland but this one has quite a bit going on. Grassy meadow aroma with some fruit and florals. Finishes clean and crisp.

Bottle from Central Market. Enjoyed on the patio straight from the bottle. Aroma was fairly grainy, biscuity and dry with a fair bit of chap stick. Crap I probably shouldn't have put on chap stick right before this. Flavor is nice and refreshing. Has a big malty grain flavor with lots of biscuit. Finishes fairly nice. Not bad ! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355mL thanks to t0rin0. Nose is cornmeal, mango, tropical hops. Taste is corny, seltzer. Cornmeal, apple. I agree with Shaun Hill that this style could vanish without remorse.
