We brewed our first Signature Hop Pale Ale to showcase the power and magnitude of the aptly named German hop varietal - Herkules. With a mighty alpha-acid content (upwards of 17%), matched only by its commanding aroma, this hop is formidably equipped for both bittering and packing a robust citrus punch. 12.5°

Spicy, citrusy hops and sweet, honey-like malt aromatics are the first impression. Under the palate, it falls a little flat toward the end. Interesting hop profile, though.

On tap at square burger, mckinney. Pours a rich copper with a thin white head. The aromas are light citrus, bread. The mouthfeel is dry, bitter and has a medium body with good carbonation. This is great for the style! Cheers!

On tap. Pours with a clear golden hued body with a medium sized white head that fades to a ring. Aromas are spicy and earthy, mildly fruity, and floral. Hop character is vaguely noble in the aroma. Flavors are sweet and quite bitter. Odd sort of burnt orange flavor. Grainy and grassy. Lightly bready. Not the most pleasant of hop flavors. Lively carbonation hides a slightly thin body.

Malt forward per style. Great, drinkable beer. Tastes like a robust esb to me. Better with spicy food.

Orange copper pour with fluffy white head. Lots of sediment. Very hoppy aroma. Lots if citrus. Lemons, orange, and grapefruit. Flavor is very similar to aroma. Very citrusy still. Little to no malt flavor. Pretty dry finish with lingering hop bitterness. Aroma is nice but flavors from the signature hop isn't as impressive. ---Rated via iPhone

Bottle.
Pours a decent cheddar orange with a nose of Texas wind: grapefruit rind with dusty Hill Country rock fruit notes. Flavor is grapefruit peach with a touch of biscuit syrup. Nice mouthfeel. Great beer.

Pours clear golden orange with a medium white head. Smells of subtle citrus and pine. Taste decently bitter with a subtle citrus kick. Medium-bodied with a slick texture and average mouth-carbonation, Real Ale Brewer’s Cut Signature Hop Pale Ale finishes with a tingly bitterness.
