3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 unixweb (237) - Sherman, Texas, USA - NOV 26, 2008Of the three Real Ales in my Kroger sampler six pack, this is my favorite. Medium-brown ale, with some lacing in the glass. Clean, nutty aroma, with notes of cocoa and malt. The taste is a bit sweeter than the aroma, but that’s a good thing. I was surprised at the depth of the flavors, and the roasted goodness of the brew. The palate is a bit oily but it works in this case, and leads to a lingering, smooth if a bit sour finish. I like this very much and I will look for it in a six pack by itself!

Excellent Brown Ale, very much like some of the fine "Scottish Brown Ale" that I’ve drank. RABC does this one right as well! :)

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 alcaponejunior (349) - Texas, USA - DEC 17, 2012
Pretty auburn brown color and clear, one finger head was ok and left some lacing.
Smell is brown sugar, molasses, nuts, chocolate, caramel.
Flavor is sweet but not overpoweringly so, with a nutty component, some chocolate, toffee, molasses, brown sugar, and a well balancing bitterness from the hops.
Medium body with smooth, medium levels of carbonation. Sweet, nutty aftertaste.
Overall it’s quite enjoyable. I have enjoyed beers from this company so far, and plan to try more of them when I can.
