Pretty ordinary attempt at a tripel. Decent drinking beer but without the richness and roundness of a true Belgian.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: AUG 11, 2014 Not an expert taster, but i smell pear and herbs. Color of slightly watered down bourbon. AMAZING TASTE, smooth, light fruit, almost like a low proof fine liquor after letting sit for a few minutes.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Yeasty aroma. Pours a hazy bright golden with little head. Taste is complex with yeast, malt, banana, clove and coriander notes. A bit sweet on the finish. A really fine specimen of Belgian-style tripel.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A very nice example of a tripel. Pours a slightly cloudy golden color with white head. Citrus, clove, and some yeast on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a sweet note.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Murky golden in a tulip, thin head retention, nice quickly-fading lace. Wheat on the nose, not much else. Clove, banana, black pepper, ripe orange.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This ale is medium to full bodied. It is cloudy but otherwise very light in color. The malt taste is rich, but the hops are a little too heavy for the malt, leaving a bitter after taste.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
One of the better ’merican tripels I’ve had. Has the classic Belgian yeast aroma with citrus, clove and banana.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Brought a bottle of this back from a trip to Houston. This was great. Huge classic nose, maybe a tad hoppier than others in this style (which is good). Very classic Belgian yeast and flavors with a little more bitterness.
Great beer. That is 2 for 2 with me for Real Ale Brewing!! (Blakkr was fantastic).

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sweet opening with a bit of a bitter aftertaste you can expect from a high % beer. Not my favorite but a nice beer to rotate in. The banana and clove makes it sweet without over shadowing the flavors.
