On tap at brewery on June 27, 2009. A very well done dark, malty, heavy hefe/weizen/ale... a great idea, and a great recipe. Enjoyed in the 103-degree heat of the brewery’s anniversary celebrations. Thumbs up!

Clear light orange pour. Aroma of hefe but lighter. Taste is very much a banana finish with gentle alcohol nudgings.

Tap at Flying Saucer... Pours a nice, peach tea orange with an earthy, organic aroma of peach bubblegum. Flavor is watered down banana clove tea with a thick, chewy, and lasting mouthfeel. It is a bit of a dropoff from the Roggen, in much the same way that Halloween II is to the original, but it is still tasty.

would possibly give higher marks were I not currently rather bored with weiss type beers. that and this apostrophe crap. damn I am in a foul mood. why take it out on a beer when I can just drink another?
I guess I will. brew more Sisypuhus.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 bleeng (1387) - Houston nowhere near Beersel, Texas, USA - NOV 20, 2008
Draft at Flying Saucer Houston. Gold, filtered, no head. German yeasty, funky nose-nice. Taste is sweet AND bitter, some malts and a German style sharpness. Low ABV and very drinkable, thin body and the flavor sticks. I like this one-it’s really different.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 djd07 (2323) - Houston, Texas, USA - NOV 19, 2008
On tap at Flying Saucer. Has a hazy copper color with a medium white head that quickly diminishes to nothin. The aroma is pine, clove, and banana. The taste is a fruit malt but a bit watery. A decent Dunkel from Real Ale.
