Mr_Stitch (119), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours gold in color with a frothy white head that disappears quickly but leaves a small blanket over the beer as you drink. Aroma is very light with a hint of yeast hops, and sugar. Taste is sweet but bland and somewhat metallic in flavor. Mouthfeel is wet, very thin, and filled with carbonation. Overall its better than Bud but not something I am ever going to drink on the regular.
Pershing (12), Garland, TX, Texas, USA Jul 21, 2008 Pale yellow with minimial carbonation. initial tall white head that fades. Decent lacing. Nice clean finish. Bockyhorsey (1920), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jun 29, 2008 Smaple @ Flying Saucer Draught Emporium (Houston). Aroma of grain. Gold body with white head. Spicey notes in the flavor but the wet burnt grain flavor just made this one somewhat different. Odd brew. zerobrew (6), , Texas, USA does not count Jun 27, 2008 I’ve been drinking this beer since it’s debut a few years back. I’ve noticed some changes too, particularly since they started bottling mass quantities. It’s current incarnation is a crystal clear and very light orangish amber. Light on the carbonation and next to no head. Aroma is a bit disapointing with light biscuity base and minimal hops. Typical light body of a blonde ale that refreshes and clears your palate. The brightest point of this brew is the fuity notes in the flavor. Older batches really stood out with apricot, peach and apple flavors. Current batches are more reserved in the fruity ester department, but it still comes through. On any given day this one scores a 3.2, but on a triple digit day in Austin this one’s at least a 5.0. mmm///beer (470), Austin, Texas, USA Jun 24, 2008 12 oz. bottle poured into shaker- the old lady picked a 6’er up for me at the grocery store since my beer consumption has been in the can lately... only to find out today that I have 2 left because she had the other 4! Poured transparent with a hint of turbidity, very dull orange in color, white ring around the glass for a head, medium carbonation. Aroma of a wheat malt with tiny notes of pepper and hops. Hits the mouth with a thin body, malt is detectable and enjoyable, finish is clean and crisp. Hmm... not bad for combating the heat of Texas, for facetime at a BBQ, and it beats BMC anyday- now to get the old lady back to her drinking regime of tea and lemonade and to keep her hands off this one when it’s in the fridge... AmEricanbrew (824), Left Coast, Louisiana, USA Jun 24, 2008 Clear pale lager color with a frothy white head. Nice spicy, peppery yeasty aroma. Smooth medium body. Nice light ale flavor is pale malt with some light spicy hops. Very easy drinking hot weather beer.
