Snojerk321 (1026), San Diego, California, USA May 2, 2008 12oz bottle from mmm///beer. Pours a slightly hazed orange amber, fizzy off white head with good lacing. A lot more sediment in this brew than I would have guessed, nice surprise. Nose was a little sour and funky at first, as the beer warmed, it mellowed out nicely.
rustychiles (489), Mesa, Arizona, USA Oct 14, 2008 Pours a deep golden color with a nice reddish hue and a off white head. Aroma of hops, rye and malt. Flavor is citrusy hops, malt and a touch of rye. Well balanced with a nice bittering finish. MaltOMeal (327), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA Oct 10, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a clear amber with a thin, off-white head. Nose if of rye, bread and some fruit. Taste is earthy hops and roast malt. Mouthfeel was thin and watery with some mild bitterness. Not a bad session beer. cbkschubert (1617), Rattlesnake Country, Arizona, USA Oct 8, 2008 12 oz. bottle courtesy of Bockyhorsey - Bottle is a couple months past the Best By date. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a 1/2 finger thick off white head. Light lacing. Flavor is sweet toasted malt. Very light hop presence. Aroma is caramel malt and light esters. medium body. Nothing fancy, but drinkable. I bet a fresh bottle is much better. Thanks Bill. Pastor (280), Maine, USA Oct 3, 2008 Thanks to mhewes for this one
Bottle poured into a standard pint glass produced a finger worth of white head that settled quickly to a thin lace, it was floating on top of amber colored ale.
Aromas of hops and rye filled my nose nice and spicy
Flavor on this is quite pleasant rye spiciness and malt sweetness a good combination in my book. Light in body and drying after taste it is truly an interesting mouthfeel.
very easy drinking brew and a nice change of pace for a session brew.
ilovedarkbeer (769), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 1, 2008 Bright orange pour with a rocky small off white head. Nose is citrus, bread, faint hops. Taste is citrus, and yeast. Bit watery mouthfeel but highly quaffable and refreshing. Not bad.
