COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pilsner is one of the world’s most popular beers and there are many interpretations of this style. The great pilsner beers of Germany, specifically Northern Germany, are the inspiration for our second lager - Hans’ Pils. These beers are known for being hoppier than the average pilsner and ours is no exception. In fact, at 52 IBU’s, it is hoppier than many pale ales. The featured hop in this beer is the spicy and herbal Tettnang Tettnanger hop. German pilsner malt yields a pale golden color and provides the perfect support for our blend of German hops. Our house German yeast strain ferments clean and dry which further adds to the authenticity of Hans’ Pils.

One of the best seasonals in Texas. Wonderful hop aroma with a solid pils malt background flavor is refreshing with a solid hop flavor and bitterness. Very refreshing in the hot Texas summer.

Bonus beer courtesy of Terminus. 12oz bottle pours a pale slightly opaque gold with thin white head. The aroma offers up grainy malts to cereal notes as well as a bit of balancing citrus tartness in the background. The taste begins with a firm level of lemon to grapefruit citrus notes followed by a bit of floral hoppiness. Behind the hops I get a mild background of grainy maltiness and faint malt sweetness. It ends with grassy resin like hops and floral hops that ride into the after taste. Tasty hop forward Pils that is really sessionable. The overall flavor is just to my liking, not too sweet and above average hops.

Aroma: herbal and biscuity. Appearance: a hazy straw pour with a mostly lasting rocky white head and fair lacing. Taste: biscuit with a hoppy finish and a biscuit aftertaste. Pallet: light-to medium-light and medium carbonation. Overall: enjoyable - would drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured into my Konigsbacher pilsener glass: light yellow with a full white head. Streaming carbonation. Tettnang hop aroma reminds me of some of the best German pilsners without the skunkiness one might find there. Crisp flavor, bitter finish. This is an outstanding beer. I enjoy a pilsner once in a while and this is very good.

Real Ale’s Hans Pils has a thin, stark-white head and a very hazy, yellow-golden appearance, with some streaming bubbles and a bit of lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet bread and light malt. Taste is of prominent, grassy hops and sweet, floury biscuit. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Hans Pils finishes crisp, refreshing, dry, and highly drinkable. This is great beer! RJT

Clear gold with a nice white head. Aroma of grass, grain, and light citrus. Very hop forward; quite bitter for the style. Light bodied.

Sample at Flying Saucer in Austin. Pours a clear pale yellow color with rising bubbles and a medium white head that evaporates quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of herbal hops and malt. Light, crisp body with flavors of mildly spiced hops, malt and a bit of fruit. The finish is lightly bitter with a floral hops aftertaste. Decent all around.

Poured up a clear gold with a very nice head that dropped to a thin head that held on. Smells of hops and slight grain. Didn’t expect much since I am not a big fan of pilsners but the taste kind of suprised me. Has a really nice spicy hop flavor that would rival some of the IPA’s I have been drinking lately. Small grainish taste in the background but has nice clean finish. Enjoyed this 6 pack while kicked back in the pool. Really went well on this hot summer day.
