3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very refreshing lager with stronger than expected bittering profile. Nose is Euro hoppy, pour very nice thick head, beer straw colored and somewhat cloudy. Taste is very bitter pilsner with good malt character. Finish is clean and satisfying.

> Sourdough and honeydew super bright Pils perfection
[ Keg ][ 16oz ][ Draught House Austin TX ][ $5 ][ Nonic Pint ][ 9.3.14 ]
>> Celebrating my 8,400th beer review on ratebeer. This was the best beer (well, so far) of my Interstate 10 mega road trip. Excellent low haze honey straw pour with thick white foam. Nose is beautiful honeydew, fresh honey biscuit and dark butter. Good webby lacing. Nose adds fresh real orange, honeydew, cantaloupe. Juicy, super clean taste with awesomely rich buttermilk biscuit and browned butter. Powerful balancing grassy hops. Long grassy bitterness with sourdough and a mildly lactic palate, encompassing mouthfeel. So good. Better and better as it goes down.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Fresh can I picked up in Austin a couple weeks back. Can’t believe I’m giving a TX pilsener a 4, but loved this. Clear yellow, with thin persistent head. Amazing lemon and grass nose. Light biscuit, awesome delicate but very present hops, super clean finish.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear golden color, fluffy white head, lots of lacing. Aroma was a typical pilsner/lager with straw, hay, earth, and yeast. Taste followed suit, but also had some nice hoppy bitterness in it as well. Kind of a nice refreshing and lighter beer. Got this as an extra in a trade. Not bad at all.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Good version of the style. Aroma of lager yeast, grainy malts and spice. Light yellow color with a thin head. Light and clean palate with strong carbonation. This tasted like a pilsner with a slightly spicy hop bite. Refreshing and easy to drink.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Light malty aroma with some floral and herbal hops notes. Really spot on for the pilsner style, light malt flavor with a very pleasant hop bitterness that brings spice and floral notes to the forefront. Excellent for the summer.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Real Ale brews one of the better pilsners in the US market. The aroma is rich and inviting and the carbonation not too heavy. The body is heavy to my idea of what a pilsner body should be but much closer to a true European brew than most and the brewers have achieved balance between malt and hop and hit the proper spicy note with the hop blend. The finish lingers. A good brew to sip all summer.
