thirdeye11 (403), Texas, USA Oct 4, 2009 (draught at freetail in San Antonio) pours clear amber with great lacing and lasting head. Nose of citrus hops, orange/grapefruit oils in nose and taste. Taste has some pine which detracts a bit but that bitter doesn’t linger over to the palette. Creamy and pretty delicious. One of the better Texas beers. Fratto (670), Arlington, Texas, USA Sep 22, 2009 Fort Worth Gingerman. Not a lot of head, subtle but apparent hops, a little fruity maybe, not bad BMan1113VR (2756), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Aug 28, 2009 On tap. Clear golden body white head that stays and leaves solid lace.aroma is herbal and citrus hops, and some caramel. Taste is grassy hops, low residual sugar bready malts and caramel. Slight metallic finish. Dry a bit thin, but refreshing. jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA Aug 22, 2009 On tap at the Gingerman in Dallas, TX. Golden color with a large off-white head. Aroma is heavy in grass and grapefruit. Taste is of grapefruit, grass, and light pine. travita (1851), Frisco, Texas, USA Aug 9, 2009 On tap at the Gingerman in Dallas. Golden to orange in color, clear, bright, and has a nice beige colored head. The smell is caramel, malts, hops, floral, and pine. The taste is nice with hops, nice hop bite, pine, caramel, and balances with some malt. bleeng (587), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA Jul 12, 2009 Cask at Anvil/Houston. Bright gold and hazy with very little head. Nice but not overwhelming hop nose, very fresh and floral. Taste is not a hop bomb-this is very subtle beer that has a nice hop profile but it does not beat you over the head with it. I love the mild temperature and low carbonation of this cask beer. A bit alcoholic with a nice smooth drinkable palate. This is a gentle beer that deserves some respect. Well done. Cavie (1317), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Feb 6, 2009 Tried on tap at the GInger man. Not as hoppy as other IPA’s but this made it much more enjoyable for me. ilovedarkbeer (1326), Dallas, Texas, USA Jan 9, 2009 From the infamous missing ratings notebook. On tap at Trinity hall last autumn. Pours a surprisingly light color that is golden and has faint orange highlights. Nose is a blast of citrus and fresh hops and a bit of dry tea leafs? Taste is caramel, citrus and rounded out with a decent piney bitterness. Highly quaffable and delicious.
