12 oz. bottle. BBD 7/22/14. Pours a thick well retained ivory head, with extensive lacing, over a slightly hazy gold (SRM 5) body....nose is sweet with floral honey tones, pine, resin, light citrus tones, minimal esters, light cereal....taste is slightly sweet malts with light toffee/caramel tones, honey notes, pine, resin, citrus peel, ending with a moderate lingering bitterness....mouth feel, medium body, slightly sticky, minimal astringency, light acid finish. This is a quite typical American take on an IPA. The hops are dominant in aroma, flavor and complexity. The bitterness is on the light side compared to "Left Coast" confections, but it is quite refreshing. BJCP 8/3/15/5/7

Serving: from tap at Tolbertís Restaurant. Aroma: none detected. Appearance: small, creamy, off-white, initial head with excellent lacing and mostly lasting longevity. Cloudy, light-amber body. Taste: moderately bitter, piney initial flavor and finish with average duration. Palate: medium body, watery texture and soft carbonation. Overall: excellent flavor. Nice bitterness--moderately bitter, but not obnoxiously so. Great appearance to match.

Bottle - lots of fresh grapefruit and pine. Clear gold with a rich beige head. Pithy grapefruit, with a nice hoppy bite. Really nice and refreshing and balanced.

Location: Draft at the CIA in San Antonio, 1/24/14

Aroma: The nose is decently hoppy, citrus/orange, some pine, and a little toasted malts
Appearance: It pours a gold-orange color with average head and lace to it
Flavor: The flavor is light sweet and medium bitter, similar to the nose component-wise
Palate: The body is medium, it has a soft carbonation, average mouthfeel, and a dryish finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a solid one. It isnít a standout IPA, just a solid, drinkable example of the style.

Nice active carbonation, medium bitter yet lingering. Fresh grassy and floral hops, bit simple perhaps. Smooth bitterness that isnít helped by the active carbonation. Nice local ipa, but this wonít win the rest of America I reckon. (Bottle drank at The Salt Lick bbq)
