3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Yellow and golden, very clear with a pretty good one finger head and pretty good lace and rising bubbles.
A bit of a blast of grapefruit aroma at first, with some nice piney notes and a good maltiness.
Flavor is mellow but nicely hoppy. Grapefruit is again up front, with oranges and tangerines, floral notes, and a good malty backbone.
Body is medium, with mid carbonation, and a slightly sweet, slightly bitter hop finish. Mellow and easy to drink, this one is enjoyable, but not a pallet wrecker.
I would love this one canned for fishin’ trips. It’s a pretty good beer, maybe not tops in its class, but quite drinkable. Actually I thought their signature hop pale ale was hoppier, but they’re both tasty beers anyway.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from trade with Crajun. Pours a clear golden orange color with very little head. Faint aroma of apricots, cherries, and light malt. Taste has a nice apricot flavor with a solid malt backbone. Slight spiciness. Light bitterness. Finish has a slightly off aftertaste. Overall, an ok IPA.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Drank from the bottle so I don’t know what color it was. Standard IPA. Too bitter for my taste.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Mostly pine in the aroma with bits of fruit. Golden body, lacy white head, Mouthfeel is medium, as is carbonation. Clean taste, piney finish. Probably past its prime.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
From notes, 7/19/11:
Poured a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Best by date is 8/5/11.
A: Light orange, slightly hazy with plenty of carb bubbles rising to the top. 2 finger white head has big bubbles and settles down to a nice thin cap that leaves spiderweb lacing all the way down.
S: Citrusy hops, faint malt background that is sweet. Smells fresh even though I’m only about 2 weeks from best by date.
T: Follows the smell for the most part. Hops come out a bit more lemony. Bitterness is light for the style. Pine hops come in aftertaste.
M: Medium bodied and slick.
O: Not being a hophead, I really enjoyed this one. Very easy to drink, great way to break into the world of IPAs and DIPAs, or, if you’re like me, a good way to get a nice sessionable hop fix.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap flight at Freetail Brewing. Light golden pour with a white head that refuses to leave. Styrofoam lacing...even after sitting 45 minutes in my taster glass! Smells like apricot. Taste is citrus, hay, and resinous hops. Good malt backbone. I’m impressed. REALly impressed with these guys’ beers.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Gold pour. White head. Aroma is quite the hop mix. Dank, citrus, grassy, and earthy. The hops steal the show in the nose and in the flavor. Very juicy, some citrus notes, resin, nice smooth finish with a bitter kick. Really good!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Orange pour, decent off white head. Nose is pine cones! Taste is hint of malt sweetness that is overpowered by piney hop bitterness. On the way out this is oily and full bodied with a long and pleasant bitter finish. Oh, and you can feel the alcohol. Good IPA.
