Bottle from my buddy Bob Pours a nice amber with a thin off white head. The head leaves quickly and leaves spotty lacing. Aroma is bready, with some spice, a touch earthy and coffee. Has a good carbonation. the flavor is decent. Stout like but lite. Has a decent mouthfeel with a slight bitterness. An oily texture. The finish is good and aftertaste is okay. Very refreshing beer. Not super hearty. has a medium body. I like it.

Bottle. Very smooth and great for casual to heavier drinking. Deep, slightly hazy amber with a small off white head. Tastes like a typical oktoberfest, but with a bit more than the average. Somehow more robust in taste and feel without it coming from a high alcohol content or thickness to the brew.

This beer pours a dark amber with a thin off white head that dissipates quickly. The aromas are dough, cinnamon, and oil. The mouthfeel is oily and bitter with a doughy chewiness about it. This was a good beer. Cheers!

Pours an orange color with a bubbly off white head. Tastes like bitter earthy caramel candies. Palate is about medium maybe slightly thinner. Smells like burnt honeyed grains with some faded cheesy citrus. Not awful but not good.

Amber, good head. An almost grassy aroma. Taste is very malty - kind of husky and chocolatey. Toast flavor and aroma in the finish. I have no idea if it’s true to style, but I’m having a tough time liking it.

Copper color in the glass. Grainy malt aroma and palate. Slight caramel sweetness. Fairly straightforward, not overly complex.

Pours a deep amber into the glass with a small white head that fades quickly. Aroma is sweet malt. Flavor lacks the subtleties that I find in many Oktoberfests and instead is just a light sweet beer. Body is somewhat thin. Not bad. Could definitely put down several of these from a liter mug.

Not my favorite style but still a weak Oktoberfest. Heavy cereal like flavor. Also odor. Nice reddish color. Palate somewhat flat.

Coppery orange in color. A bit of a sweet malt aroma that changes to corn tortillas. Clean flavor of sweet cereal malt; almost creamy like, followed by a slight hoppy aftertaste. Overall, for a Marzen it’s OK. Very drinkable, but nothing too exciting.
