COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep golden and malty, with a spicy hop flavor and a subtle, well-balanced hop bitterness, Rio Blanco is a uniquely Texan interpretation of an English-style pale ale. The addition of Czech hops gives the ale a refreshing crispness and flavor that will satisfy you under the hottest Texas sun.

Horrible brew! Twangy, taste. Weak head. Hoppy notes but bitter. Simplistic. Iron, tin wash down. Absolutely undrinkable! Embarrassing! The Real Ale should be ashamed to put out a brew no better than a Budweiser! Skip it!!!

12 oz bottle This purchased at the Whiskey and Rye bar at the Omni in Ft Worth. The pale ale poured a hazy amber with a frothy and lacing off-white head. This is good pale ale for everyday enjoyment. The Czech saaz hops provide a special flavor of spiciness. The medium body ale had average carbonation. The finish was smooth with lingering bitterness and a touch of spice.

A pale, mild beer. The least impressive of the Real beers I’ve sampled. Golden, thick head, with a grassy aroma.

Pours a hazy copper color with a minimal beige head. Smells bready and malty sweet. Med body, not much flavor up front but finishes slightly bitter.

Has a nice hoppy flavor. A little more subtle than an IPA. Not too bad. I prefer my beers to be a little less hoppy, but it is a good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light golden-orange body, thin white head, spotty lacing. Grassy, grainy, a little floral and citrus. Simple. Medium to light bodied, gentle carbonation, soft finish, minimal bitterness. Ok, but not particularly interesting.

Had it on tap at Hofbrau in San Antonio, poured a clear amber hue with a light head. Tasty caramel flavor with a hop finish.

Not a very good pale ale. Aroma is of light grassy saaz but no other notable scents. Taste is not balanced either with a bitterness and no flavors of note.

Pale gold, small white head. Lager hop nose. Semi sweet. Doughy and bready in the middle, somewhere between Pale Ale and Kolsch. Finish has a Pilsner hop tinge. Not sure how to look at this one, outside the box a little. A decent beer.

12 oz bottle: Aroma of sour leather. Pours light yellow, nice white head and a slow gradual CO2 release. Taste is bland, salty and slightly sour. Kind of smooth but a sour aftertaste leaves it flat on its face. Not that great.
