3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUL 4, 2004 Bottle pours a dull hazy golden, medium fizzly off-white head, plenty o carbonation, yeasty bits abound, with decent lacing. Light hops and citrus on the nose. Forwardly malty/grainy with a bit of a hop bite. Somewhat grassy, maybe a bit of overripe fruit. Slight astringent taste on the finish. Decent body and mouthfeel. Not the best, but not bad. Thanks goes out to 123456green for the trade!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Subtle hopping with lots of drinkability. Faint aroma, cloudy goldenrod body with a thin head. Nothing too special here but it is good for a beer from central Texas.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Brown bomber with a simplistic label depicting the Blanco River. The color of the beer is hazy golden orange with a fizzy carbonation at first. The head is about an inch thick and short lived. The aroma is very faintly hoppy with pine resin. The taste has butterscotch like malt, and pine/grapefruit hops. The beer is light to medium thick on the palette, with a dry aftertaste. A decent beer, but feels a bit indecisive as to where it wants to go. Thanks to 123456green for this bottle amopng his samples of Texas beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 10, 2004 Very pale and very good. Pours light golden brown with med head that fades somewhat fast. Got a very strong bite yet not too bad. Good offering fron Texas. Finish is calm. However gets rather sweet at the end which makes 2 beers plenty.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Light clean nose with some cracked grain aromas, pale orange color, low head. Toasted malt and a little caramel flavor. Light berry tastes. Bitter-ish end. Smooth and clean palate and a good balance, for sure, but overall nothing special. Decent.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Light orange color with tones of red. Little layer of a head, liveley carbonation. Bubble gum like, berry nose - Weak though. Cardboard cereal taste. Not much going on just a slightly bitter kick at the end.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Solid hopping, giving it citrus and pine bites, but with Saaz? Curious production of flavor from that. Lingering bitterness, not "balanced" but muted enough to be interesting. Substandard palate--strikes me as thin very early. Amber-copper color, some head. I didn't get mine from fly. (on tap, Flying Saucer, Addison, TX)
