2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Light cloudy bubbling copper color. Light sucrose malt aroma with some hop attributes. Strange complexity between a watery sweetness and a thicker sticky bitter finish. I even picked up some banana and chocolate amongst the citrus. Overall drinkable, but confusing and not very true to style.

I wonder at times about the consistency in brewing quality at Real Ale. Perhaps this is unfounded. I have had this numerous times and don't recall liking it nearly so much as I did this time. If they hold this benchmark, I think I would say that this is rather wellcrafted. Full bodied with just enough malt and hops to please. A pale ale that I can enjoy all too easily. Please keep doing it right.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Solid hopping, giving it citrus and pine bites, but with Saaz? Curious production of flavor from that. Lingering bitterness, not "balanced" but muted enough to be interesting. Substandard palate--strikes me as thin very early. Amber-copper color, some head. I didn't get mine from fly. (on tap, Flying Saucer, Addison, TX)

Bright copper/orange color, head disappeared quickly. Sharp fruity hops on the sides of the tongue. Mild hoppy nose.

Thanks to FLY for passing this beer along to me… and for no reason other than - you’re a really nice guy!
A glowing copper body with a large rocky snow capped head. The aroma is light with hops, loads of caramel malt; actually far more malt than hops. A strange Pale Ale, unique and thirst quenching. Slight wheat suggestions, notes of banana and some light citrus peel. Oily palate with a dry crisp snappish finish…… seems like a cross between a well built Pilsner / German Wheat / and an APA.
I thought it was tasty and my girlfriend liked it very much….. I think she drank more than I did?

Ugh. I had to pour this one out. Mostly hops in the aroma and flavour, but for some reason, it also reminds me of the Hidden River B & T. Seems to have a slight spoiled green pea aroma. I repeat, 'ugh.'

Light orange color with tones of red. Little layer of a head, liveley carbonation. Bubble gum like, berry nose - Weak though. Cardboard cereal taste. Not much going on just a slightly bitter kick at the end.

Nice easy to drink pale. Nice malt flavor with a lite bit of hops. If you are in Austin, make a side trip over to see Brad and the boys in Blanco. They are really nice guys.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This beer is a dark golden amber color with a medium thin light beige head. Thin lacing. Lightly hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied and smooth with a decent hops and malt flavor. The finish is a little citrusy. Compared to their Rye and Sisyphus this beer isn't really remarkable, but it is a decent Pale either way.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Fruity, vinegar/yeasty aroma, not unlike their rye PA, but lighter. Honey gold beer, massive bone-colored head, moderately hazy. Not nearly as interesting as their rye PA. Lightly hopped, but really a Saaz PA? Fruity, mild sweetness, a little starchy/buttery, some sunflower seed or nuttiness in there. Medium citric finish. Very drinkable, especially cold on a 101° day in TX today, but not very interesting. Probably would go well with chicken, fish.
