Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of milk chocolate and lighter notes of roasted malt and a bit of coffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, coffee, and milk chocolate, leading to a dry and very roasted finish. Thanks Papsoe and byaeger for this.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of byaeger. Pours a clear brown with a beige head. Very distinct coffee aroma. Medium body, sweet roasted malt and again distinct coffee accents. Very dry and malt bitter finish. Not very porterish really. 301109

Thanks to James Kaggie97 for the bottle. Pours a nice shade of brown yet looks a little wetter than I’d hoped. the head settles in a full but thin sheet of off-white. The nose t exhibits notes of powdered cocoa, roasted malt, and coffee with some sweetness hovering in the background. Flavors bring back the chocolate and coffee, there’s some sweetness from the malt but it could use some more. The bittering hops play their part well here, but need more sweetness to counterbalance. The mouthfeel is medium to semi-light. Certainly a clean beer with nice chocolate and coffee flavors but needs a bit more sweetness and body to be considered great.

Thanks Daknole! This is a nice looking porter with just a bit more red than others have. Nose is cappuccino with some funk and smoke. Flavor is pretty much the same. It is very smooth but finishes thin. It also finishes powdery. The best beer I have had from Texas and it is close to a world class porter.
