Dec 27, 2008 Pint at Opal Divines on December 27, 2008. Solid black. Small, frothy white head. Aroma of coffee and malts. London Portery. Moderate mouthfeel with a pleasing coffee-malt flavor. Thin, but solid and easy on the palate. Easy to drink and yummy... just enough coffee to make it interesting, but not enough to really tell this is a coffee porter. I think this may be one of my fave Real Ale brews!

Feb 23, 2008 Dark black, medium head. Malty,chocolately aroma. Medium lacing. Light in the mouth for such a dark beer. Very, very refreshing for a porter, I didn,t detect the coffe in it, just the malt, and a very slight amunt of chocolate.

Jan 26, 2008 On tap. Pours a nice dark brown color with amber lacing. Head is small and coffee colored with a pocked yeasty appearence. Smells of roasted malt, java, and chocolate. Taste is of nice mexican coffee and chocolate. This quite possibly is my favorite porter. Body is medium and the finish is long and warming. Honestly a great beer due to the perfect balance and hidden alcohol presance. Bravo.

Jan 18, 2008 I had this on-tap at Ginger Man in Austin and thought it pretty good.
It was black and opaque with about 2cm of cream-colored head. Aroma was roasty at frist , with some coffee notes. Flavor was dry roasty with some coffee notes, but not a lot of depth. Mouthfeel was quite dry and good.
I would recommend this beer. I had it on-tap at the Ginger Man in Austin.

Jan 12, 2008 on tap. black pour with a small off white head. lots of roasted malts on the nose. easy on the palate and it tastes just like coffee.

Jan 5, 2008 On tap at The Ginger Man in Houston. Poured a very dark black with a nich thin whiteish head. Aroma is of vanilla, coffe and carmal. Taste is very smooth and crisp has nice carmal coffe finish.

Jan 5, 2008 On draught at Flying Saucer. Has a very dark brown color with a small tan head. The aroma is a strong coffee and malts. Very easy to drink with not too much of a coffee taste and a smooth finish. Real Ale does it again with another good brew.

Dec 30, 2007 Another wonderful Real Ale beer tasted during my Austin visit. On draught. Small head on deep brown liquid. Smooth & creamy. Slightly sweet, with strong & rich coffee overtones. Balanced hop ending. Definitely worth drinking!
