COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BC001
We brewed our first Signature Hop Pale Ale to showcase the power and magnitude of the aptly named German hop varietal - Herkules. With a mighty alpha-acid content (upwards of 17%), matched only by its commanding aroma, this hop is formidably equipped for both bittering and packing a robust citrus punch. 12.5°

on CasK .. . pours a deep tan .. medium head, lacing .. . light grassy hops .. simple quick finish .. . enjoyable for the most part but a bit to simple for me .. . .

Okay, last question. Who is your favorite Backstreet Boy?

Oh! The little rat-faced one.

No, no, Nick! He’s so good to his mother.

According to this, you’re both idiots.

Bottle thanks to errl. Golden pour with a white head. Nose is fresh cut grass, citrus, light bitterness. Easy on the palate, fresh hops, florals, faintly bitter, and grass.

The beer pours a slightly hazy golden color with a white head. The aroma has some wheat notes, as well as some grass, lemon and a bit of orange. The flavor is similar. There is a lot of wheat, caramel and biscuit malt notes, as well as some white pepper and orange peel. I get only a slight amount of bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle.
Pours a decent cheddar orange with a nose of Texas wind: grapefruit rind with dusty Hill Country rock fruit notes. Flavor is grapefruit peach with a touch of biscuit syrup. Nice mouthfeel. Great beer.

Bottle. Golden to orange in color, beige colored head, and clear. The smell is grassy, hops, floral, slight fruit, and light. The taste is heavily grassy, hay, some fruit, nice bitterness, and ok.

Central Market bottle marked best before 01.01.13. Nice golden bronze color with a medium, foamy white head. Odd aroma that has some metallic bitterness and caramel malt dominating. Nice flavor though. I’m not familiar with Herkules hops but there is a distinct bitterness here.

Cloudy rich yellow color. Dense white head lasts a long time. Heavy white lace. Musty dank aroma, thick and savory. Flavor has a lot of funk and is a bit foody, bland, fishy, and oily. Cardboard comes to mind. Signature... avoid this (Hercules?) hop.. points are for being different.

Golden orange with a decent off-white head. Aroma is of wet grass, light herbal notes and lots of orange peel. Taste is of caramel, orange zest, and floral.
