Ungstrup (11354), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 10, 2005 [Vintage 2003 sampled June 2005] A hazy amber-red beer with a disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of alcohol, hops, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, peach as well as a more general fruityness, but also some acidity. The alcohol burns the tongue - but in a nice way. The end is quite bitter. Thanks to Fly for letting me fly home with this from GABF. Papsoe (10285), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 8, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Hmm, my label is green with an ABV of 11.2%. Clear amber golden with an off-white head. Aroma of....aroma hops. Full-bodied with plenty of caramel malt. Hoppy finish, but maintains an underlying sweetness throughout. 220406 joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 23, 2006 Bottle.

Aroma of malts, caramel and dried fruits.
Flavour of malts, caramel and dried fruits. argo0 (6229), Washington DC, USA Jun 13, 2004 (2003) Light copper with small beige head. Aroma is sharply bitter grapefruit, some herbal, wort. Taste is grapefruit with solid malt backbone. Finish is grapefruit/herbal hoppy with medium alcohol. Medium-full body. Damn this is a fine barleywine. Many thanks to fly. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Jan 22, 2008 Updated: May 11, 2008Date: 01/11/2008
