3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
[Vintage 2003 sampled June 2005] A hazy amber-red beer with a disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of alcohol, hops, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, peach as well as a more general fruityness, but also some acidity. The alcohol burns the tongue - but in a nice way. The end is quite bitter. Thanks to Fly for letting me fly home with this from GABF.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Hmm, my label is green with an ABV of 11.2%. Clear amber golden with an off-white head. Aroma of....aroma hops. Full-bodied with plenty of caramel malt. Hoppy finish, but maintains an underlying sweetness throughout. 220406

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught at Flying Saucer, Fort Worth TX
Hazy amber color; nice lace. The aroma is malty, with fruity hops. Full mouthfeel, excellent malt flavor, sweet but not thick nor oily, with a robust but not overwhelming, good and aromatic hopping; some fruitness. Excellent.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A: The pour is a cloudy orange color with a very minimal white head forming from a vigorous pour.
S: Plenty of sweet caramel notes with some toffee and brown sugar. Some milk dark stone fruit notes as well as some citrus and pine hops to add a bit of balance.
T: Despite the rather sweet and caramel and toffee heavy base of this beer, there’s a nice hoppy character. A moderate level of bitter pine and grapefruit rind.
M: The body is medium with a low-to-moderate carbonation.
D: Not overly sweet, though leaning that way, still a good bitterness and balance. This could be good fresh or with age.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
2007 bottle from ericandersnavy. Thanks much for what, to me, is a beer from the middle of unknown lands. Pours reddish amber with a minimalist off-white head that didn’t stick around. Aroma is floral and caramel. Strong enough to pause my senses. Full bodied, and a bit sticky. Very slight carbonation. Flavor is caramel, with some dried fruit aspects. Hop is floral, mildly bitter. Still, it’s dryish. I type that while sugar swirls in my mouth. Still seems accurate though. Does make a great nightcap.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Gelungen! 8/12/11/11/6/12
