3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hand bottle, shared by jstax. Clear orange red color. Thin khaki head. GOod bits of lace. Smooth, soft, lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Big sweet taste. Some alcohol warmth in the finish. Bigger, spicy whiskey barrel aroma. Some caramel malt, and fruity hop. A little boozy, a bit aggressive... Drinks like 13.5% Iíd guess... But a tasty, barrel-y barleywine to sip on. Long whiskey heat in the finish.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hand bottle thanks to errl. Pours a copper color with a white head of foam. The aroma is herbal and grassy with some nice barrel notes. Taste is sweet and very malt forward. Tastes better than it smells, but itís all around very nice. Iím surprised at how hoppy this beer has stayed throughout the barreling process.
