slight, grainy aroma. nice head and cloudy, golden color. the taste and bite is similar to a budweiser, and as such, no great shakes. slight bitter aftertaste. nice fizzy palate. i generally like this beer, but am not overly-enthusiastic. i can, and have, drunk more than one at a sitting....

Bottle. Golden with a small head. Aromas are grain, sweetcorn and butter with some metallic hops. Flavours are sweet grain with smooth butter and sweetcorn. Mine is beginning to warm up now and its not so good.

12 oz. bottle from a friend. My friend went to Jamaica and all I got was this stinking beer. Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow color with a medium sized white head that disappears quickly. The aroma is grainy pale malt, hay, and light citrus. The flavor is more grainy pale malt, light corn, a weird apple note, and light grassy bitterness. This was a tick; nothing more nothing less.

(12 oz bottle: BevMo in La Jolla, CA) Bottle number five of the Beers Of The World gift pack. Finally, a beer that isn’t horrible. Not that Real Rock is anything to alert the media about, but compared to the swill I’ve had to endure tonight, this is liquid gold. Grainy, mildly sweet, slightly bitter and hoppy with a hint of spiciness, this actually is palatable. Slight cardboard in the finish is a distraction. Corn and grain aromas are moderately sweet, but there’s no sign of the spice or hops in the nose. Light bodied, bordering on thin and watery, but with sufficient liveliness on the palate from zippy spice and ample carbonation. Clear, pale golden in color with a thin, white head that demonstrates exceptionally poor retentive skills, fully dissipating with a minute. Not that good, but not horrible, and that is high praise indeed compared to most of the pond water that comes from this part of the world.

Another boring lager from a hot third world country. It wasn’t bad it was just boring. It’s probably good in the Jamaican heat.

had several bottles in the mini bar in our room. The predominant flavor to me was the cardboardiness...wet paper was abundant. Other than that, not memorable, light-bodied.

On tap in Jamaica. Pours a light golden color with a white foamy head. Smells of light grain and sweet corn. The flavor has a faint sweetness along with cereal grains and a slightly metalic finish. Nothing great, but it does the job when baking under the island sun.

12 oz. bottle thanks to Fred. Nothing really exciting here except I got to rate my first Jamaican beer. Corn aromas and flavors. Some slight bitterness, but not good bitterness.

Bottle from Peace St. Market, Raleigh. A Red Stripe clone of sorts, which is what it is. In Jamaica or 90 degree weather, I’d have no problem drinking this. Is it a great beer otherwise.....No.
