Commercial Description:
Don't be fooled by the label depicting a Grim Reaper Santa Claus in a sleigh pulled by skeletal reindeer - this is not a Christmas Ale. "Sleighor" is an Imperial India Pale Ale. The intense hop bitterness, flavor and aroma will dominate at first. To complement, the body has a complex blend of malt and alcohol flavors. The ABV is 9.1%, and the IBU's are pushing the mid 80s. The entire family of Cascade hops is used. Cascade, Centennial and Columbus are spread throughout the boil, and a huge sack of Amarillo for dry hopping. The hop combination gives this brew a distinct profile true to its IPA roots. The presentation is clear copper with a thick tan head, coupled with billowing citrus and floral hop aroma. "Do You Dare" to enjoy this fine ale from the Reaper? Brewed at Sudwerk for ReaperAle.

Poured a fluffy beige head with lots of lacing on the glass. Copper/cherry color. Lots of hops in the nose and a nice combo of hops a malts in the flavor. Not as hop-centric as other SoCal double IPAs, but a pleasant middle ground found between hops and malt. Frighteningly smooth and drinkable for such a potent beer.

22 oz., from Darkelf – Thanks Stephen! Head is big and thick leaving a beautiful lacing. You’re getting the hops in the nose as well of course but there’s much more to it: spices like cinnamon and vanilla plus some sweetish dark fruits are what I can detect. Overall aroma is sweeter and more complex than expected. Flavor is fruity amd malty with a bitter finish. Medium to full bodied with a nice creamy texture. A nice surprise with an original character. Not your typical DIPA, that’s for sure.

22 oz bomber. Pours a cloudy orange amber color with a thick white creamy head. Aroma is slightly piney, not as piney as a lot of west coast IPA’s, with plenty of hops present. Taste is citrusy with a slight pine aftertaste. A slight spicy burning feeling as it goes down. Hard to tell that this is a double IPA. Nevertheless, very good overall.

From a 22 oz bomber. Very nice, bronze/amber color. Nice lacing, strong initial hop taste. Goes down very nice, with a lingering hop/alcohol taste. Very good IIPA

Pours a viscous, honey nectar with dense froth that is about medium height. Superb head retention w/ thick fluffy lacing that lasts. Strong aromas of spicy citrus rind that clear my sinuses. A thick and slightly creamy style IIPA with bright, pungent citrus rind consistant to the last sip. This is where Robo Hop lives w/ a strict upper hand. Overall: a ballanced brew with alcohol well hidden. Enjoyable. Nice job.

22 oz bottle. Copper pour with a beautiful off white head. Nice and foamy. Aromas are sweet, vanilla, citrus, pineapple. Flavors are juicy hops. Citrus, grapefruit. Some slight caramelliness in there. Very bitter on the finish. Pretty good
