Commercial Description:
Don't be fooled by the label depicting a Grim Reaper Santa Claus in a sleigh pulled by skeletal reindeer - this is not a Christmas Ale. "Sleighor" is an Imperial India Pale Ale. The intense hop bitterness, flavor and aroma will dominate at first. To complement, the body has a complex blend of malt and alcohol flavors. The ABV is 9.1%, and the IBU's are pushing the mid 80s. The entire family of Cascade hops is used. Cascade, Centennial and Columbus are spread throughout the boil, and a huge sack of Amarillo for dry hopping. The hop combination gives this brew a distinct profile true to its IPA roots. The presentation is clear copper with a thick tan head, coupled with billowing citrus and floral hop aroma. "Do You Dare" to enjoy this fine ale from the Reaper? Brewed at Sudwerk for ReaperAle.

Bottle: Courtesy of DarkElf via trade. Lots of caramel, toffee, and banana bread in the aroma. Hops are present but the malts dominate the aroma. Pours a deep red with some transparency and a nice off-white head that becomes a small ring. Lots of caramel and banana bread up front. Big piney hop finish. Reminds me much more of the hoppy barley wines as opposed to an IIPA, which I don’t have a problem with.

Not sure how i havent rated this yet as i have had it many times. Its got a nice amberish sunset look to it and is fairly transparent. I get alot of graipfruits in the aroma and the body. Very big, with a wet feel to it. The best thing ive had from this brewery.

Clear darkish amber, honest off-white head. Complex hop aromatics in the nose are backed by a more than fair toasted malt molasses-cookie like. Sweaty and earthy, vibrant and evolutive. Good balance for the style, rich malt and rich hops, no mistakes and we avoid the traps of acidity. Straightforward perhaps, but enticing, rich hop flavors array, going from one citrus to the other with tangerine surprisingly winning. Ample bodied, fair soft carbonation.

Bottle poured a hazy copper with a huge tan head. Aromas of pine, citrus, carmel, and a hint of vinous. Palate is typical IPA smooth and a little resiny. Flavors of grapefruit rind, pine, some carmel, with an appropriatelly bitter finish.

Plain amber, creamy head, medium carbonation. Hoppy aroma at front with mat, butter underscore. Acidic, citric hop flavours. Hops are very intense here, palate killer.

Poured a hazy, amber brown color with an off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, citrus grapefruit, floral hops, sweet caramel, and biscuity malts as well. Piney, resiny hop taste, more bitter grapefruit, a touch of alcohol.

Bottle from Rastacouere. Big thanks, David! Nice clear orange-brown, nice lasting tan head. Fantastic hop pellet aroma. Love it! Chewy sweet malt and hop flavor. Extremely assertive! Reminds me of Double Bastard. Bitter Biter hop pellet finish. Could drink tis all the time every day. Not for whimps, this is a palate buster.
