4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 1FastSTi (3151) - Glendale, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 11, 2005The aroma is very hoppy. Lots of citrus, pine, and amarillo hops, cascade, centennial, I get it all. I also get a decent amount of malt in it. It pours to a reddish brown hazy body with an off white head that has decent lacing. 80 IBU? Seems more like well over 100 IBU. Kinda like Stone Ruination and more malts. I also get some tannins. The palate is very hot from the dry hopping. I’d like to try this beer after sitting for more months. I wonder how the palate would be.

22 oz. bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a dark amber color, slightly hazy with a medium sized off white head. The aroma has sweet caramel, citrus and ripe fruits. The flavor has sweet caramel malts, ripe fruits, citrus, some oxidation, and vanilla. Signs of some hops with mild bitterness at the finish. This may have had some age.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 gyllenbock (2967) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 31, 2012
Bottle bought in Chicago in October 2011.
Amber with a medium head. This beer reminded of a Barley Wine. Sweet with malt and toffee. Not that hoppy or bitter still a descent beer. Would like to try a fresh bottle.

Trevlig halvtung humledoft som kanske är aningen trött. Smaken är lika så. God men har nog varit bättre nån gång. Hur som helst en trevlig dipa med tydlig frukt och humle. Fin balans dog något kort eftersmak.

The smell is sweet, citrus, fruits, and not as much hops as I thought. The look is clear, amber, with a beige colored head. the taste is hops, pine, and some bitterness.

Pours a dark brownish. Aroma is surprisingly fruity and floral with a good dose of pine and citrus. Flavor is very nice. Very drinkable but with a nice kick. Hoppy and grassy, some vanilla, strong alcohol taste. A really great blend.

Bottle. Poured clear dark copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex earthy hop aroma. Medium to full body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where met.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 taphandle (1135) - Texas, USA - MAY 21, 2011
In celebration of beer #666. Cloudy, dark amber, almost brown. Aroma of figs and brown sugar. Taste of pine but there’s plenty of malt in there to balance it, so the bitterness isn’t too overwhelming. The finish reminds me of "dark" grapefruit and has some sweetness to it.

Bottle, shared with Parksy. GUSHER! Leaping from the bottle, this beer is a hazy dark orange with an orange-tinted crown. Very malty toasty nose with underlying citrus hops. Palate is full of chewy toffee malt, lightly toasty, with oily grapefruit and light pine hops. Definitely a malt-forward IIPA, although the age of the bottle (unmarked) may have something to do with this (and the whole gushiness thing). Tasty nonetheless.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 doboy (397) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - OCT 8, 2010
This is a really good beer! Drank the whole Bomber myself! Wish I had more! Would regret that in the morning! Poured a dark copper color with a small off white head that disipated. that was the only real flaw I found. The hop aroma was great. Taste was very hoppy but well balanced! Mouthfeel was smooth and soft. Aftertaste was nice and bitter. Did I say that I really, really liked this beer?

A: snifter. nice crisp clear orangish copper. nice off-white head, hint of orange. nice head retention, very well-developed lacing.
S: huge caramel malt aroma, some sweet citrus notes from the hops, like blood oranges.
T: wow! its got a lot of bite, tons of dry grapefruit with some honey notes, nice alcohol burn. A lot of hops, but a rather big malt backbone to mellow it out.
M: not very balanced, but most DIPAs aren’t. nice palate, but could be maltier. nice carbonation level. full bodied.
D: ABV makes this a one and done for me. Alcohol burn was too much.
