Bottle 50 cl. Dark brown with faint ruby glow. Off white head of good length. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and dark fruit. The taste is fairly sweet, which, after taste and is.

0,5 l bottle from Pivo Söröző, Budapest.
Clear deep brown beer with some ruby tones in the body, medium goodlokin’ foamy tan-light beige head that stays on the surface. Moderated aroma with some liqourice, some roasted malt, caramel and molasses. Medium bodied one, roasted grains leads the slip, after that comes the caramel, some coffee/cocoa, herbal hops in the finish. Light roasted aftertaste.

Bottle from „Pivo Söröző”, Bp. Clear, reddish dark brown coloured brew with a frothy beige head on its top. The nose is sweet with caramel. Tasteing begins sweet with a slick mouthfeel followed in the middle by caramel, yeast and some light notes of hops, flavour’s of brown sugar and dried fruits. The sweet-sourish and medium dry finish is escorted by roasted malt, which leaves at last a sweet-roasty aftertaste behind. An adequately balanced and very good drinkable czeh dunkel.

Oluen vaahto on beigeä.

Bottle 50 cl. Poured black coca-cola like colour with foamy tan head. Aroma is light roasted malt with hints of sweet sugar. Flavour similar, from slightly burned to sweet taste. Pretty nice roasted aftertaste, even if it feels a bit thin.

From the bottle, into the classic schwarzbier flute like that pictured, not quite chilled. Yields a very fine bead with a tight, compact tan head that holds and laces well. Shimmering, darkest ruby-brown is the body. Smells oddly of cured beef, fresh Biltong, anchovies and cocoa with hints of cola soda and rust coming through, at least it has character. Sweet and bitter burnt, caramelised sugars dominate in the mouth atop a bed of toasted and chocolaty malts. Twiggy bark, burnt wood and rust in back tries to soften the sweetness. Lightly bitter malt swallow holds some chocolate ice-cream notes and wood to linger long with much residual sugar. Body is medium-light but it sits quite heavy and become increasingly cloying as it warms further. Just doesn’t come together, it is way too sweet form me! 500 ml bottle. Rated @ 20.12.2009.
Pours a beautiful slightly reddish brown colour with a big, beige frothy head. Aroma of mildly toasted malts and caramel. Flavour of toasted malts, caramel, coffee and mild hop notes. Medium bodied and a bit watery mouthfeel. Nice Dunkel.
