Near black colored with red hints. Big beige head. Caramelly aroma with some bubblegum and mild roastiness, rather sweet one. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is more roasted with still this sweetness dominating, caramel also in start. Aftertaste turns to bittersweet with mild roasted tone. Basic Czech dunkel, still maybe too sweet for me. Crispy palate with some carbonation.

Bottle: Very deep ruby-amber colour with a smaller, almost creamy stable sandy head, deep fruity (dried dark berries) and coffeeish-roast-malty nose; robust bitter-sweet flavour, medium-bodied; lingering sweet-caramelly finish, rounde by some sweet-malty bitterness. Very good stuff.......

(Bottled) Very dark brown with a medium, light beige head. Mild, moderately roasty aroma with some chocolate. Neutral, somewhat roasty flavor with some lactic sourness and hints of chocolate and licorice. Light to medium-bodied, a bit creamy palate with balanced carbonation. A quite balanced and enjoyable, but basic dunkel.

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2008 Bottle, from Fřtex, Aabenraa. A great dark brown with a medium brownish creamy head. The head stays for a good while and leaves a good amount of lacing. Aroma has roasted caramel and maltyness. A touch watery mouthfeel. Flavour is great with chocolate, a little smoke and a good dose of sweet roasted malts. 7/4/7/2/14 = 3.4

Bottle. Average beige fizzy head that mostly diminished. Clear sparkling body with a dark mahogany color. Aroma of toasted malt, butter, caramel, soft brown sugar. The sniff lives the impression of a week Malt beer. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Light to moderated sweet flavor with light bitter notes. Light sweet finish. Quit nice.
