Unfortunately there are not all that many Czech pilsener brands sold in this part of the world, as one in particular example dominates the market. This one will not be mistaken for that one. It’s rather dark amber and smells grainy and grassy, though no skunk. It has the classic pils flavor, a bit too sweet and bitter in the bite but not the real taste. it has a nice body and one would have no difficulty putting away a sixer over an afternoon. Needs more hops.

330ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a fluffy white head that retains well and leaves some thin lacing on the glass. Aroma is grains and hops. Taste is dominated by grassy hop bitterness with an underlying malt sweetness. Light to medium body with plenty of carbonation. Well done for the style and recommended.

Kifejezetten gyenge produktum.

I got this is a brown bottle with a "Czech Rebel" label. Pours a clear golden brown with a generous head. Malt and grassy hops in the aroma. Same in the flavor, with a finish that’s a little watery. Straightforward, but I expect that out of a Pilsener. I thought this was a lot better than the rating indicated.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. This beer looks like someone tried to design the perfect-looking pilsner -- deep rich color, white puffy head, lace, the whole bit. Nose is not as promising; toast, malic notes, and a touch of candied sweetness. On the tongue, the hops bitterness is there, but there’s not a lot backing it up. Most of the other flavors are muddy, though there’s a definite hint of generic apple candy. Looks better than it drinks.

Bottle pour ---> A yellow body presents a fair amount of bubbles and a soapy head. Smells spicy and hoppy with a slight citrus twang. Flavors are bready and malty, but with a nice hop balance as well. FInishes light and sweet with a smooth bitter finish.

In honor of my Grandfather, whom past away this evening and was born in Tabor, Czech. Bottle pours a clear golden with a small white head. Clean aroma of grain, malt, and hops. Taste has a syrupy sweetness with honey, grains, malt, and slight hop. Not bad. Drinkable, but a bit too sweet.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pale golden with a white head. Aroma of grain and seriously light floral hops. Taste is much the same; ever so lightly hopped Bohemian lager. Light bodied. Pretty weak.

Just regular pale Czech lager. Nothing to remeber, nothing disturbing too.
