Part of the 2012 ’Nautical’ series. Re-released in 2013 as September special.
Pale and Dry
It would be easy to go overboard on this light coloured, easy drinking 4.2% abv beer. Waves of pale malt flavour wash over it, followed by gusts of Motueka hop aromas! After negotiating your way over a Gangplank or two, you can try walking in a straight line, but you’ll probably end up in the drink!

Pale amber and dry for its gravity with a hint of citrus increasing through the mouth. Restrained bitter finish. Nice.

[Cask at the Bootlegger, High Wycombe] Light amber with a moderate white head. Fruity at first, with lemon and a little marzipan. Restrained bitterness in a crisp finish. Better than the normal Rebellion monthly specials.

Hand pulled cask at the Moon & Sixpence (JDW ) Hatch End. Amber with a lively white head. Good clean tasting bitter with grassy floral hops and sweet juicy malts. A pleasure to drink in fresh condition but very similar to most of the beers in this series.
