Cask; Seasonal - September to November. Also available filtered in bottle.
This premium ale reflects the colour and intensity of Autumn. Its deep reddish hue derives from the addition of crystal malt in the grist. The flavour is predominantly malty with a subtle late hop character.

The Prince, Brixton. Deeply nutty and malty beer. Lots of pleasant sweetness with an attractive counterpoint of tobacco bitterness. Very yummy.

This I like. A good rendition of a red ale. Brilliant bronze/red colour. Big hop hit on the nose, but roasted malt too. Fruit comes in on the palate, but with hops hitting hard there too. Bitterness developes towards the finish and hangs on in there in the aftertaste, where it is joined by a vaguely smoky whisky tang. Well balanced and eminently drinkable. I could easily sink a few of these. Handpump, The Speaker, Westminster, London SW1.

Bottled. A mildly carbonated decent version of a rebellion cask ale. Features that distinctive rebellion taste.

Huge cascade aromas with hints of dark malt. Short but initialy rocky head. Fruit and toffee notes with a dry roastyness balanced with more cascade flavour. Slight powdery feel in the mouth and even more cascade in the aftertaste.

From the bottle. A good bitter finish and nice roasted malts. Good balance, a nice beer. I really would like to try this beer from the handpump!
