3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear brown with off white foam head. Aroma is quite sweet, taste is nutty indeed. Bit watery, but drank in a pleasant surrounding between beer lovers. (Marlow 201311)

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pint at the Back of Beyond in Reading. Clear red-brown with a fair head. Dry hops, bitter, reasonable. Just a hint of citrus in the aroma. Quite nice after the initial bitterness has settled down.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ YNWA, Kolding.
Clear red amber with a medium, staying, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, toasted caramel, hazelnuts, light milky chocolate. Medium carbonation, fine dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is quite bitter, chocolate, light milky, citric hoppiness, softly nutty. Long, lingering malty bitter finish. Nice.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading] Brown with a moderate cream head and a good rich mouthfeel. Treacle up front follows through into a sweet, fruit taste with lemony hints. A woodland mulch bitterness at the end tries to balance but doesn’t quite achieve it, leaving a slightly sticky aftertaste. Far more interesting that most Rebellion ales - a good effort that for me didn’t quite work out.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: NOV 9, 2015 Toffee and caramel dominate with hops pushed to the background. Gentle and smooth and very, very easy to drink. Doesn’t blow your head off but an excellent product from a highly professional brewery.

Deep red, tiny head. Tea aroma. Lovely fruity ester retronasals. Full palate. Rich roasty malts. Finish has a bitterness both from hops and from roast, and also biscuity malts. Lovely fullsome bitter.

3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Handpulled cask at JDW Harrow. Dark copper with an off white head. Fruitier than name suggests. Not much roast or nutty flavours. A little caramel and toffee with gentle hops. Overall its a very pleasent ale.
